Cut in black Italian jersey with a fluid, weighted drape, La Cocteau draws a long, precise line. A high bateau neckline cuts cleanly across the front with elegant restraint; behind, the open back dips to the high waist. Composure in front. A certain audacity behind. The double-layered bodice gives structure without stiffness, holding its shape beautifully. Subtly reinforced armholes create a smooth, tailored fit. From the high waist, the skirt falls in a straight column, opening at the side to mid-thigh for graceful movement.

Wear it with modern kitten heels and a French twist to sharpen the line. For something more nineties: a center part, ankle-strap platforms and very little else.
